First in Families of North Carolina

The mission of First In Families of North Carolina (FIFNC) is to improve the lives of people with disabilities by advancing the family support concepts of self-determination, community inclusion, and accessibility. We have three goals linked to our mission: to help individuals and their family members be contributing, included members of their communities; to fill gaps in existing community services through partnerships with the private sector, volunteers and other community organizations; and to help individuals with disabilities experience a higher quality of life now, while also alleviating stress for their families by providing peace of mind about the future.
