A Center for Independent Living (CIL) is an organization run by and for people with disabilities to assist them in achieving and maintaining independent lifestyles. Our Center strives, through advocacy and collective action, to remove the architectural and attitudinal barriers which prevent people with disabilities from exercising their rights, achieving personal independence and participating fully in the life of the community. Training and services at the Center help empower consumers to take responsibility for their own lives and integrate into the community.
