Lily’s Lung Story
Lily was born at 24+3 weighing 504 grams due to IUGR and restricted cord blood flow. Her twin sister passed three days before they were born. She’s had a long road in the NICU- a bowel perforation, jejunostomy, four infections, several codes, bronchiopulmonary dysplasia, and a tracheostomy. We spent 256 days in the NICU, but we are happy to report that she’s been thriving at home for almost two months! We have a long road ahead filled with therapies, pulmonology appointments, and ventilator weaning, but we’re absolutely thrilled to have come this far with our strong little peanut!
