The power of hope
In 2004 I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in my left humerus bone. I did 9 months of chemotherapy from October 2004 to June 2005 with a bone replacement in December 2004. In November 2005, the cancer came back in the same arm after being in remission. In February 2006 my arm was amputated.
In June 2006 the cancer metastasized to my lungs and after removing them in surgery they came back 2 months later in August 2006. After a failed surgery they told me they can't remove them and they have no cure for me except chemo again which I declined.
In September 2007, a tumor appeared in the back of my head and they said I should try radiation which I did. Unfortunately, it didn't remove my tumors and in December 2007 I was given only 6 months to live. But here I am 10 years later living life happily. My message is to stay positive and follow your dreams- don't let words hurt you, we are all stronger than them.
