About
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a voluntary, national health agency--a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering the many neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. Established in 1950, MDA is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization and is funded by private contributions. MDA does not receive government grants, United Way funding, or service fees.
