National Down Syndrome Adoption Network

The NDSAN is a national adoption program who provides information and support to expectant and birth parents whose child has received a diagnosis of Down syndrome. 

If the family decides to parent, we partner with local parent groups to provide support. 

If the family decides to make an adoption plan, we have a registry of families who are licensed and want to adopt a child with Down syndrome. 

Advocacy and support is also provided to children with Down syndrome in the U.S. foster care system.
