Almost my wish came true

My name is Khin T Paing. I am originally from Burma ( Myanmar). I got polio in my left leg when I was one year old in my country. It affects my whole left leg, so I wear a long brace and special shoes because my left leg is very weak. I graduated from El Camino College with a degree in computer science, but soon after, I realized it wasn't from my heart, so I consulted a career counselor to analyze my strengths and interests. Finally, we got results that I was strong in fine art. So, I switched my major from science to art. People warned me that it would be hard to get a job, but I went against all odds to follow my heart. Two years later, I got accepted by Otis College of Art and Design. I graduated from Otis College in 2011, I achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Since then, I have kept painting and exhibiting my art in a few galleries.

Right now I'm one of the contestants in the "People's artist "awards the Art of Elysium supported by actor Johnny Depp. This Thursday, on June 11th at 7 p.m. the competition will finalize. I'm in the top contestants in my group. To be chosen is a few steps closer to my wish to establish myslef as an artist and a painter.
