For each day that has passed I have become stronger.
My name is Goiza Rebwar. I’m from Kurdistan, but I live in Stockholm. On 2003/07/27 my whole life changed in just a few seconds. I was 13 years old when I suddenly one morning could not walk any more. It took me several years to adapt myself to a new life in a wheelchair and understand what happened to me and why. Since that day, no day has been like any other day. Every day is new and challenging. However, I try my best to not let my disability hinder me from doing things that I like to do as well as follow my dreams. The strong voice within myself always encourages me to be grateful for every second of life and to keep my head high so that I can defeat any obstacle. I have achieved many goals during this time, and continued to do what I used to do & love: studying & traveling. Instead of playing soccer, I started playing wheelchair basketball with a Swedish team, as well as modeling in a wheelchair. As long as you have the will, you can do anything you want to do. For each day that has passed I have became stronger. Much love for my beloved family and friends that have always been there for me.
