My Story

When I was 2 years old, I went on a walk with my grandmother. My grandmother and I started walking, but then she started talking to some friends. At that age children are very mischievous. I let go of her hand and she did not see me crossing the street when a car came out and hit me. My mother says that my leg could have been saved, but the doctors did not act fast and let the gangrene go up quickly. The doctors said they could have saved my leg, but I would only live 10 years. We made the difficult decision to amputate. I still thank God for allowing me to live each day as I do today and I really do love my life.
