Never give up
Hi my name is Ebony @survival_story Canion and in 2012 I was run over by a car on purpose. I was dragged under the car and folded up for almost 200 ft, then the car turned the corner and my lifeless body was lifted up from under the car. I was in a coma for almost 2 months & in the hospital for 4 months. I was a widow with 4 children before this happened to me so this really affected my children. As a result of being run over I suffered several life threatening injuries. A broken leg, pelvis, and dislocated spine (which all have screws and rods in them). I had seven broken ribs, a collapsed lung, my left side of my face was ripped up, my tongue was nearly severed, I lost 3 teeth, the skin on my back was burned off from road burn, so I needed a skin graph. I also suffered a fractured shoulder & jaw, a small amount of blood was found on my brain, and I had many scars from head to toe!
My family was told that I may not make it, and if I did I may never walk again..maybe in a vegetive state..maybe paralyzed. Now, I am walking with the aid of leg braces and a cane. Even after all I've been through I've still managed to be a single mom, graduate college, speak to people around the country, and write a book. No matter what you go through in life, it's not the end. You can still reach your goals. Don't give up!
