Little Liam’s Journey with Cerebral Palsy

Little Liam’s Journey

This is Liam! He was born prematurely at 27 weeks alongside his twin brother Declan. Liam has the most contagious smile and the strongest desire to get up on his two little legs. Liam was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when he was 17 months old. It may slow him down, but it's not stopping him from running!

Our journey started in October 2015 when we found out we were expecting triplets. We lost our son Duncan at 19 weeks- Liam and Declan were born just 8 weeks later at 27 weeks gestation. Liam experienced a long and hard NICU stay with many ups and downs. Liam endured two surgeries while in the NICU and two additional surgeries after he returned home. He finally was able to go home after 157 days spent in the NICU.

Our fight continued at home with many long nights and hospital stays, but 2017 has been a blessing and Liam continues to improve and get stronger everyday. We are working on sitting independently and crawling. With the help of all our new devices and most of all Liam’s strength this little boy will do some amazing things.
