My story, my life
My name is Anna Grace Taylor and I was born 11 weeks prematurely with my twin, which resulted in brain damage.
When I wasn't crawling or walking like my sister, doctors first called me a 'lazy baby' but my parents knew something was going on and at eighteen months old I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, affecting both legs.
I took my first independent steps at the age of 6, and learned to walk twice more following major surgery in my teens.
On top of the C.P. I became very ill with M.E. for several years, which was devastating but made me appreciate my mobility even more. I now use crutches to walk and a wheelchair for longer distances like shopping and traveling - mainly because I use about four times more energy than the average person to move!
Despite all of that, I am a 36 year old woman who is deeply emotional, intuitive, creative, wise and silly.
I am also an Angel Therapist, singer-songwriter and motivational speaker with an international client base and 1 million followers on social media.
So all the things that I have often considered challenging and weird about me are also GREAT things now. They make me stand out from the crowd and remind me of what is important in life. I love me and am passionate about sharing my story to help others love themselves, too. Don't get me wrong, I have my moments, it is NOT easy not being able to run, dance around the house (because I love music so much!) or carry my baby nephews... However, we are all so much more than our bodies and limitations and none of these things define who I AM. I am not my labels or my limits. I am me and you are you. And that is always enough.
Keep living and loving,
Anna
